In 2024, UPC enrolled 4,862 undergraduate students, 3,252 master students, 569 doctoral students, and 267 international students.

Academician Hao Fang, the President of UPC, delivered a speech on behalf of the university, extended warm welcome and sincere congratulations to all new students, and expressed respect to their parents and teachers who have cultivated them with dedication.
Hao Fang shared four aspirations with the new students, which he encouraged them to strive for together.
Firstly, cultivate a deep sense of patriotism. He encouraged them to integrate their aspirations into the great cause of the Party and the nation. By dedicating themselves to their studies and physical fitness, they should strive to become pillars of society and ready to serve the nation. Secondly, develop a globalvision. He encouraged students to embrace the world with a more open mind, striving to become talents with international competitiveness. Thirdly, hone innovative skills.
