Recently, Professor Dai Caili, Vice President of UPC, led a delegation to visit the United Arab Emirates and Norway, successively visiting UAE Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) , the branch of CNPC in Abu Dhabi, CNPC Dubai Research Institute, CNPC Engineering & Construction Corporationin the Middle East, the Chinese Embassy in Norway, etc. They participated in the 2024 EAGE Annual in Oslo and attended the Oslo special session of the UPC Overseas Young Scholars Exchange Meeting.

The delegation discussed with relevant universities about inter-university exchanges, talent cultivation, teacher and student exchanges, joint scientific research and other aspects, deepened the cooperation and exchanges between our university and CNPC enterprises and scientific research institutions in the Middle East, and visited the alumni working in various institutions in the Middle East, and briefed the developmentof UPC in recent years.

During the visit to the UAE, the delegation visited the alumni and held an alumni meeting at CNPC Engineering & Construction Corporation in the Middle East. They talked with more than 20 alumni to renew friendships and discuss the development of the university. Dai shared with the alumni the celebration of the 70th anniversary of UPC and invited them to come back often.

During the visit to Norway, the organized the UPC Overseas Young Scholars Exchange Meeting in Oslo, more than 50 outstanding young scholars from domestic and overseas participated in the on-site exchange. The delegation introduced the basic situation, development progress, discipline layout and talent demand of UPC in detail, distributed propaganda materials for talent introduction policy, and answered questions and doubts for young scholars.
