From April 12 to 13, the China International Pipeline Conference (CIPC) and the exhibition of technical equipment and achievements were co-sponsored by Petroleum Storage & Transportation Committee of China Petroleum Society, Petroleum Tubular Goods Committee of China Petroleum Society, the Science and Technology Department of PipeChina, CNPC Tubular Goods Research Institute, China University of Petroleum (East China), China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in Beijing.

With the theme of “Innovation, Green and Safety”, the conference attracted more than 2,000 domestic and foreign experts and scholars in the field of pipelines. The conferees strengthened international exchanges and cooperation in pipeline technology, comprehensively displayed innovation achievements and practices in pipeline, exchanged new technologies, new ideas and new measures in transportation of oil and gas, hydrogen energy, carbon dioxide and others, and thoroughly discussed the development direction of pipeline technology in the new era.

The conference set 8 thematic forums, including energy strategy and pipeline development, pipeline construction, digitalization and intellectualization etc. Well-known experts and scholars from domestic and foreign energy enterprises, national ministries and universities in oil and gas storage and transportation conducted nearly 180 keynote reports and thematic technical reports. Experts and scholars in the conference analyzed opportunities and challenges, planned strategic layout, explored development paths and put forward policy suggestions based on the new direction and trend of pipeline technology development in the new era. UPC, as the co-sponsor, hosted one thematic forum and 11 invited presentations.
