On April 21st, the fourth "Fancying mountain & sea of Qingdao- My Study Experience in Qingdao" competition, co-hosted by the Qingdao Municipal Education Department and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Qingdao Municipal Government, held its award ceremony in Qingdao. International students from various universities and international schools in Qingdao participated in the competition. The international student team from UPC performed outstandingly, winning second prize for their dance piece "the left hand points to the moon".
During the competition, our international student team fully demonstrated their outstanding dance creation ability, high level of performance skills, and cultural artistic accomplishment. They elegantly displayed the charm of Chinese traditional culture and received full recognition and widespread praise. Polina from Russia said, "I love Chinese dance, and I incorporate my love for it into my choreography, hoping to demonstrate the beauty of Chinese dance on the stage."
At the award ceremony, Zayana from Russia shared her study experience and feelings, emotionally describing her growth and achievements during her studies at our university. She expressed her love for Chinese culture and the deep friendship she developed with the Chinese teachers and students, while also expressing gratitude to the city of Qingdao for providing her with such wonderful environment and atmosphere.
This competition further promoted the effectiveness of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, promoting mutual understanding, and continuously composing new chapters in cross-cultural exchanges. UPC will continue to actively engage in multi-channel, broad-field, and high-level cultural exchanges and cooperation with other countries. We will spread the voice of China, tell good Chinese stories, and continuously expand the influence and attractiveness of our international education, in conjunction with the development of the Qingdao BAR International Cooperation Zone and the SCO Economic Demonstration Zone.
