Recently, RoboMaster 2023 University Series (RMU)(Northern Division)was kicked off in UPC.

Vice President Zhang Lingling delivered a welcome speech, stating that UPC has integrated innovation and entrepreneurship education into the whole process of talent training, built an innovation and entrepreneurship education system for all teachers and students, strived to build a quality brand of talent training, and won a wide range of social reputation. And she wished the competition a complete success, hoped that the participants in the competition would show their style and level, and achieve excellent results.

Over 1,000 players of 36 teams from the well-known universities across the country, with independently developed robots of international level, competed in technology, intelligence, physical strength and team cooperation for 9 places in the national competition.

The competition was hosted by the committee of RMU, and jointly organized by UPC and Shenzhen DJI Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. Since 2013, the scale of RMU has expanded year by year, attracting more than 400 universities and colleges around the world to participate in each year, transferring 45,000 young engineers to the society in total, and carrying out various talent training, laboratory construction and other cooperation projects with hundreds of universities and colleges.The competition is closely related to the popular fields of artificial intelligence and electronic information industry, involving robotics, machine vision, machine learning and other frontier technologies, and integrate a number of technical disciplines such as“mechanical design”,“embedded system design”, “machine vision”, “human-computer interaction”, and “artificial intelligence”,aiming to cultivate composite scientific research talents in the new era.
