Recently, after the evaluation and publicity of Shandong Provincial Education Department and the review and accreditation of the Ministry of Education, China University of Petroleum (East China)  was successfully selected as the national innovation and entrepreneurship education practice base.

As a national education, innovation and entrepreneurship practice base, a national makerspace, a national innovation and entrepreneurship education reform demonstration university, and a national innovation talent training demonstration base, UPC has further promoted the integration of disciplines, science and education, as well as industry and education, to build a distinctive education system of innovation and entrepreneurship, which has strengthened the cultural atmosphere of daring to venture and create.

UPC will take the opportunity of being selected as the national innovation and entrepreneurship education practice base to continuously improve the education system with integration of majors andinnovation, diversify the training platform for entrepreneurship and mass entrepreneurship, build a cooperation platform for the transfer and transformation of achievements, give full play to the radiating and driving role of the national innovation and entrepreneurship education and practice base, focus on cultivating first-class high-quality innovation and entrepreneurship talents, to better serve the national energy strategy, industrial transformation and upgrading, and high-quality growth of regional economic.
