And the 7 selected academicians of China University of Petroleum (UPC) are as follow: Academician Wu Chi, former dean of the Refining Department of Beijing Institute of Petroleum; Academician Zhu Yajie, former vice president of Beijing Institute of Petroleum; Academician Cao Benxi, former vice president of Beijing Institute of Petroleum; Academician Yang Qiye, alumni of Beijing Institute of Petroleum in 1957; Academician Shi Mingxian, alumni of Beijing Institute of Petroleum in 1956; Academician Wang Xieqing, alumni of Beijing Institute of Petroleum in 1956; Academician Chen Bingzhen, professor of Beijing Institute of Petroleum.
Wu Chi, scientist of chemical engineering, educator, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, participated in the establishment of petroleum refining major in Chinese universities in early years, cultivating a large number of scientific and technological talents for China's petroleum industry, and had dedicated himself to the development and management of petroleum refining production technology for a long time.
Zhu Yajie, Chinese energy expert, scientist of chemical engineering, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, set up the first artificial petroleum major in China, and served as the director of the artificial petroleum teaching and research section.
Cao Benxi, Chinese scientist of chemical engineering and nuclear industry, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, participated in the establishment of the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University, and served as the first dean. Wang Xieqing, expert of petroleum refining and analytical chemistry, chief engineer of Beijing Petrochemical Research Institute, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, has long been engaged in the research development and management of petroleum refining and petrochemical industry.
Chen Bingzhen, expert of chemical system engineering, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Her research includesprocess synthesis, dynamic process analysis andoptimization of biofuel industry chain. And a number of her creative achievements have been applied in industrial practice.
