13 Teachers Selected into the List of 2021 Elsevier “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers”

On April 14, 2022, Elsevier, a global information analysis company, officially released the list of 2021 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers”. The list took Scopus, the world’s authoritative citation and index database, as the statistical source of Chinese researchers’ scientific research achievements, and adopted the selection method designed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. 4701 Chinese researchers with the most global influence in various disciplines were finally selected, including 13 teachers in our university.

In 2021, the list of “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” covered 84 first-level disciplines in 10 discipline categories stipulated by the Ministry ofEducation. This time, the basic data extraction of highly cited researchers used the first-level disciplines classification mapping of the Ministry of Education which had been further optimized and updated by Elsevier and had covered 111 disciplines,whichmakes the academic research ecology in line with China’s discipline setting more intuitively showed by the data such as discipline attribution and performance of Chinese researchers, improves and describes the scientific research output of Chinese researchers scientifically and accurately, and provides effective help for further sorting, analyzing and studying the citation performance of researchers.
