On March 26th, the delegation of Tokyo University of Science, led by Soichiro Okamura, the vice president, visted China University of Petroleum. Yao Jun, the vice president, welcomed the guests and held discussions with them about future cooperation.
Yao introduced the university, including the features, training styles of energy education, discipline layout and innovative research. As he said, the two universities have a lot in common, such as the size of students and subject structure. He hoped that the two sides could carry out more cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, new materials and new energy.
Okamura spoke highly of UPC's superiority in traditional energy education. He introduced the history, discipline advantages of Tokyo University of Science and its achievements in teaching and scientific research. He also looked forward more practical cooperation would be conducted between the two universities.
Based on discussions, series of agreements have been concluded: promoting the signing of memorandum of understanding; signing agreements on student exchange programs of mechanical engineering, material science, electrical engineering; strengthening faculty visiting between the two sides through academic workshops; exploring more ways for holding internship bases and short - term cultural activities.
