Wang Li Invited to Attend COP24: To Make Your Voice Heard

From Dec. 3 to 14, COP24 (the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) was held in Katowice in Poland.  As one of China youth delegation, Wang Li, an undergradute student from School of Geoscience was invited to attend the conference. COP24 is a historic meeting of the representatives of the world which will adopt decisions ensuring the full implementation of the Paris Agreement and other important decisions.

At the conference, more than 100 countries and environmental organization displayed their efforts and achievements in  solving climate change. " China also showed its resolution and efforts to the world in the environmental protection. I felt very pround of my country. ",  Wang said.

On the conference, Wang Li was interviewed by Danish TV. He said, "youth is the future of the country and the world. We should make the voive heard and do the deed". 

Wang also made communication with António Guterres, the secretary general of the United Nations. He introduced the actions China has taken in tackling climate change.  António Guterres wrote a message to Wang Li, calling on more young people to participate in the work. 

Patricia Espinosa, the executive secretary of  UNFCCC worte a message to Wang Li.

Wang Li attended UNFCCC press conference. He said he would continue his research and work in environmental protection. he also encouraged more Chinese youth to participate in solving global problems.
