Recently, 2014 Xinhua Education Forum--“Voice of China Education", sponsored by Xinhua net, was held in Beijing. Experts and scholars from all over the country gathered together to discuss the development and future of education in China. On the forum, School of Distance Education of UPC , for its high quality and important influence in China, was awarded as “The Most Influential Online Education School in China in 2014, 

UPC was the first university in China to combine network education with correspondence education. It also introduced cloud computing technology and established a social and intelligent distance education system which could meet users’ needs in the network era. What’s more, based on data base and cloud storage, UPC established a resource system of classes which could support online learning and mobile learning. Until now, UPC has made 8 national quality classes and 10 open courses. UPC’s distance education is also popular for its high passing rates.

In the future, UPC’s distance education and continuing education will deepen cooperation with companies to serve for regional and national developments in a better way and strive to make an internationalized distance education.
