Recently, a delegation from Moi University in Kenya made a visit to UPC. Vice-president Wang Ruihe received the guests and held talks with them about the future cooperation.
Vice-president Wang Ruihe gave a general introduction about UPC. As he said, Africa has become a key source of international students for UPC and the two sides have a long history of cooperation in petroleum industry. UCP is always ready to offer supports for the construction of School of Petroleum Engeering in Moi University.
Hon. Joshua Serem Kutuny, director of the President Office of the Republic of Kenya, said the Kenya government puts a high value on the collaboration of the two countries and hoped that the cooperation of two universities will do good to the petrolem education of Kenya and produce more and more skilled personnel in oil exploration, development and refinery.
Prof. David Kirwa Rotich Tuigong, vice-president of Moi University, introduced briefly the basic information of the university which is planning to set up a petreoleum enginnering school. Therefore, more cooperation on laboratory building, programs design and faculty training should be carried out.
During the visit, the guests also were showed around the key labs.
