UPC Established a Cooperative Partnership with Yeungnam University in South Korea

On August 25th, 2022,China University of Petroleum (East China) (UPC) signed an online agreement with Yeungnam University in South Korea. The two sides signed agreements for a friendly cooperation framework, a postgraduate degree program and student exchange, and officially established a cooperative partnership.

The two sides signed the cooperation agreement online.

Yao Jun expressed his thanks to the two municipal governments for their great attention and support, and gave a high evaluation to Yeungnam University. He expressed his vision for the two universities to carry out practical cooperation in talent cultivationand scientific research and academic exchanges, and to contribute to the higher education exchange and integration between the two cities.

Park Seungyou, vice president of Yeungnam University, Guo Peng, consul general of the Chinese Consulate General in Busan, Lee Ki-seok, head of the Daegu International Trade Department, and Zhenzhu, Qingdao Foreign Affairs Office deputy director, all delivered their speeches to stress the significance of the cooperation between the two universities for educational and cultural exchanges between China and South Korea, Qingdao and Daegu on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic between China and South Korea, and to give the best wishes for the cooperative relations between the two universities.

Yao Jun and Park Seungyou respectively signed the cooperation agreement online on behalf of the two universities, hoping to jointly undertake major scientific research projects, jointly hold major international academic conferences, implement joint postgraduate training and student exchange, etc., so as to promote the level of both sides through the cooperation. At the same time, it is hoped that the two universities can share their university-enterprise cooperation network, and drive the university-enterprise cooperation between China and South Korea by their cooperation, to push the industry-university-research cooperation to a new height.
