From May 27 to 29, Dai Caili, Vice President of China University of Petroleum (East China), led a delegation to the Université Paris Cité and Ecole d'ingénieurs généraliste. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the joint establishment of the Sino-French Engineering Institute and on the deepening of scientific research cooperation and teacher-student exchanges, achieving fruitful outcomes.

During the visit to Université Paris Cité, the delegation toured its Energy Research Institute and learned about its latest research advances in interdisciplinary energy fields. The delegation also paid an on-site visit to the laboratories. Both sides engaged in thorough exchanges and reached general consensus on talent training and joint research concerning new energy and ecological transition.

At Ecole d'ingénieurs généraliste, the delegation visited the campus, practical classrooms and laboratories, gaining first-hand experience of the rigorous standards and practical orientation of French engineering education. Both agreed that they share highly compatible philosophies for talent training and boast respective strengths in the energy sector, laying a solid foundation for complementary development.

Focusing on the core issue of jointly building the Sino-French Engineering Institute, the two sides conducted intensive consultations. They negotiated item by item on key matters including project application procedures, training programs, training models, school scale, dispatching of French faculty and CTI accreditation, making major headway.
