Recently, School of Economics and Management of China University of Petroleum (East China) received an official notice from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Business Graduates Association (BGA), confirming its successful completion of the BGA international reaccreditation process with the maximum five-yearvalidity. Following its BGA Gold Accreditation in 2022, this marks another recognition from an authoritative international business education quality assurance system, reflecting the school’s continuous improvement and outstanding progress in strategic development, teaching and learning, talent cultivation, and international school management.

In January 2026, an international BGA accreditation panel carried out a two-day on-site assessment for the School of Economics and Management. Academician Hao Fang, President of the university, and Zhou Peng, Vice President, met with the panel. During the assessment, the team carried out a comprehensive and systematic review of the school’s talent cultivation, program management, teaching support, discipline construction, social services, and industrial influence through methods such as in-depth interviews and on-site visits. The panel highly commended the school’s high-quality development in recent years, noting that the school has formed distinctive features in the fields of energy economics, sustainable development and energy transition in recent years, and has exerted a remarkable industrial and policy influence.

BGA is a world-renowned authoritative institution that provides quality accreditation and services in the global field of business education, dedicated to advancing high-quality business education, strengthening responsible management practices, and building lifelong learning systems. AMBA & BGA accreditation, together with AACSB and EQUIS, is recognized as one of the world’s top three international accreditations for business schools. Leveraging this reaccreditation, the university will further drive the sustainable and high-quality development of the School of Economics and Management, enhance its energy-focused characteristics, refine its talent cultivation system, and accelerate the construction of a world-class School of Economics and Management that is deeply rooted in China with a strong focus on the energy sector.
