Recently, the inaugural ceremony of the Uganda Alumni Association of China University of Petroleum was held at CNOOC Uganda Ltd. Over twenty alumni in Uganda gathered joyfully with faculty from their alma mater to witness this historic occasion.

Vice President Dai Caili, on behalf of the university, extended warm congratulations on the establishment of the Uganda Alumni Association, and presented the association with its official plaque and flag. She stated that the association serves not only as a bridge for emotional connections among alumni in Uganda and with their alma mater, but also as a crucial platform for integration and exchange, contributing to safeguarding national energy security, advancing the Belt and Road Initiative, and deepening the China-Africa Community of Shared Future.

During their visits to Niger and Iraq, Dai Caili and the delegation organized alumni exchange forums separately and established alumni liaison offices in both countries.


Alumni Exchange Forum
At present, China University of Petroleum has established five regional alumni associations overseas. The Uganda Alumni Association, as the second overseas chapter proactively initiated and established by the General Alumni Association to serve the university’s core mission, provides a platform for international alumni exchanges.
