On Oct. 20, the opening ceremony of UPC-YANKUANG New Energy College was held in the university. Leaders of China University of Petroleum and Yankuang Group attended the ceremony, witnessing the big moment together. 

     Hao Fang, president of China University of Petroleum, said the college will be a new platform and bring more opportunities for exchange and copperation between the university and Yankuang Group. UPC will give full support to the partner and employed all resources for the building of the college. As planned, more top talents will be recuited and more scholars of new energy will be welcomed. The college would be built into research-oriented insititute of global influence which will do significant contributions fot the local's economic and social development and the country's energy strategies, he added. 

     Li Xiyong,  chairman of Yankuang Group, the founding of the college is an important symbol of university-industry cooperation It symbolizes the cooperation between UPC and Yankuang Group is stepping into a new stage, being closer and higher. It will be of great significance for cultivating high-leveled personnel of new energy. YANGKUANG Group will give full play of its strength in industry and resources in the co-construction of the college.
