On 11th, Nov., Hossein Ganjidoust, Iran embassy science counselor and professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering School of Tarbiat Modares University, paid a visit to UPC. The vice President Zha Ming welcomed the guest and talked with him about cooperation between UPC and Iran universities.
UPC has signed a framework agreement on cooperation with Tarbiat Modares University this September. Contents are as follows: exchanges of students and teaching and research stuffs, academic exchanges of professors in the summer holiday, communication and sharing of information, books, academic paper, research material, thesis and computer software. Jointly conduct academic conferences and seminars, scientific research display and collaborative research projects. Two universities will endeavor to provide convenience for student’s exchanges, students’ participation in sports competition as well as mutual scientific research cooperation and sharing of experimental facilities. What’s more, the two sides will support each other to conduct researches on language and literature. Tarbiat Modares University will also offer short-term training on Persian language for UPC’s students.
During the visit, Hossein Ganjidoust also visited laboratories of School of Geosciences.
