On December 28 2014, 2015 New Year's Concert of UPC was held in the gymnasium. It was offered by Shenghua Symphony Orchestra of the university. The concert attracted thousands of students and teachers. They will say goodbye to the year of 2014, and welcome the coming of a new year.

On the concert, the orchestra, under the conduction of Professor Xu Xuemin, the national first-grade conductor, played a series of classic tracks, inculding The Thieving Magpie Overture, Jamine Flower (The Chinese Folk Song), Ju Huatai(The Chine Song ), Farandole from L' Arlesienne, La Donna e mobile form Rigoletto, Overture of Carmen, Overture of Guillaume Tell, O Sole Mio, Slavonic Dances No.8, La Brindisi from La Traviata, Ode an die Freude from No. 9 Symphony.
