On April 26th and 27th, 2022, China University of Petroleum (East China) (UPC) held the job fair themed “Together in Qingdao, Win the Future” for Graduates of 2022 in UPC (the special inthe West Coast of Qingdao New District) and theJointRecruitment of Graduates in Large and Medium Cities in 2022 Special in UPC.91 enterprises of all kinds includingcentral and state-owned enterprises, listed companies, and key enterprises came to our university for the recruitment, coveringmultiple majorssuch as optical engineering, automation, marketing, mathematics, computer science, physics, etc., providing more than 4000 positions in R&D, engineering, marketing, supply chain, information technology and medical science, which attracted many graduates.
In recent years, our university has actively guided graduates to stay in Qingdao for employment by opening up local employment market, setting up new employment practice bases and establishing local and municipal talent introduction workstations.
Under strong drive of the policies, the cooperation among the university, the city and the enterprises has deepened. Over 1,000 graduates have stayed in Qingdao for employment orentrepreneurship every year. Our university will further fulfill the task of serving local development while constantly improving the employment quality of graduates.
In order to further strengthen the policy publicity, the Talent Policy Publicity Meeting of Qingdao was held on the same day, in which the staff of Qingdao Public Employment Talent Service Center introduced the talent policies of Qingdao in detail. The good policies further highlighted the attraction of Qingdao to the talents.
During the period of COVID-19, our university has strengthened online recruitment and employment guidance in an all-round way, and ensured the force, the heat and the standard of the “Online Spring Recruitment Season” by“Cloud Recruitment”, “Cloud Guidance” and “Cloud Service”. Meanwhile, we held offline job fairs under the premise of well prevention and control of the epidemic, and brought timely help and reassurance to theunemployedgraduates through the online and offline coordination.
In order to help the graduates to establish reasonable job objectives, improve job hunting skills, enhance job hunting competitiveness, grasp the golden opportunity of spring recruitment, and achieve employment successfully, our university held a series of spring job hunting ability training activities, organized special lectures, invited experts outside the university to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of various choices in detail, to guide students to rationally plan for the future.
