UPC First International Education Week Kicked Off

On July 1, UPC First International Education Week kicked off. Themed with "innovating training pattern, building an international campus, broadening an international perspective, cultivating top talents", it will offer all-English courses, lectures on academic frontier,research training, international exchange camps and workshop on overseas study experience on the following days.  The class of 2018 is required to obtain one credit on international education.  

1300 students, teachers attended the opening ceremony.

In the coming week, 30 scholars from 23 universities, such as National University of Singapore, Missouri University of Science and Technology, University of Aberdeen, University of Saskatchewan, Aalborg University, would give lectures on  engineering, energy, history and economics, with 29 English classes, 44 reports and 5 camps to be launched. 10,000 students would take part in the events. 

Party Secretary Wang Yong delivered the speech. He introduced the international education of UPC and welcomed more partnerships would be established with oversea universities and institutes. He also hoped students  would broaden their vision with fruitful and rewarding experiece. 

Vice-President Liu Huadong hosted the ceremony. 

Feng Qihong, director of teaching affairs department, introduced the arrangements of the week. 

Prof. Jean-Francois  Bodart from Université de Lille made a speech.

Students were attracted by the international education exhibition.
