The 2017 annual State Science and Technology Awards Conference was held in Great Hall of the People on January 8 in 2018.Two projects by UPC were awarded the prize， “The Deep-delayed Coking Technology of Increasing the Light Oil Yield” completed by Prof. XIAO Jiazhi with the joint efforts from UPC’s exports and Professors named YANG Weijun(the third to complete the project), SHEN Guoping(the fifth), ZHANG Longli(the sixth), WANG Lanjuan(the seventh) and YANG Chaohe(the tenth),obtaining  Second Prize  of the National Scientific and Technological Progress Award. The other project, contributed by Professor YAO Jun from the School of Petroleum Engineering as the fourth participant to complete “The Technology of Refined Description, Numerical Modeling and High-efficient Water Injection for Fractured-vuggy Reservoir in Marine Carbonate Rocks”, won the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award.
